Roleplay Rules: General

  1. General Rules
    1. You may not randomly kill people unless in instances that are outlined in these rules.
    2. You should not be talking out of character in any chat channels, excluding PMs and mod sits.
    3. Trying to bait someone to break the rules or in any way trying to encourage and other such instances is strictly against the rules.
    4. Scamming players for in-game items/currency is allowed.

However, it is illegal and will land you in trouble with the police.

    5. Law enforcement roles may only issue out tickets and warrants within an hour if they witness the crime.
    6. If you are damaged by the crossfire of an RP Event or initiation you are not part of, you cannot defend yourself.
    7. If you are damaged by someone accidentally, give them a reasonable chance and time to heal you. You can otherwise self-defend if someone is shooting/damaging you. If you are recording and willing to share that recording, feel free to kill anyone who is clearly trying to shoot you and/or do damage to you.

Just make sure it's not an accident and they are really trying to kill you!

    8. The state of being able to KOS someone in accordance with these rules extends to all group members (unless it is an RP Event or initiation they started, then they must be assisting). For police, it extends to all other police officers. The state of being able to KOS someone also extends after the RP Event has finished until all players have lost sight of the player for over a minute.

If one group member or cop loses sight of you, but other group members/cops don't, that player who lost sight can still join back on the hunt!

    9. Sexual RP is not allowed.
    10. Any loot on the ground is free loot, excluding KOS Loot.

However, you can still use RP Initiations to get players to drop your stuff.

    11. If you found a loop-hole within the rules, you MUST report it to an RP Administrator, or create a forum post about it, failing to do so and going forward with abusing said loophole will result in more severe punishment.
    12. Trolling other players is not allowed. Staff discretion will be used to determine what is trolling and what isn't.
    13. Blocking server shops is not allowed. Anything blocking it is subject to removal by a staff member.

Server shops are the vehicle, medical, grocer, gun, and contraband shops that require you to punch a sign to get the item or vehicle.

    14. Buying too many vehicles or items that spill into the ground can be considered as causing lag and can result in the vehicles or items to be wiped in an instant by a staff member. Staff discretion will be used to determine this.
    15. Any player-placed object can be raided without calling the raid RP Event on West Burton Military Base Island.
    16. If a player is on the West Burton Military Base Island, they can shoot anyone in the surrounding area around the island, it will not be KOS and will be considered as your fault.

The player on the island must physically be standing on the land of the island or on the deck of the island. Any player(s) outside of the island may shoot at anyone on the island at any time.

    17. KOS State applies to anyone who leaves the West Burton Military Island up to a minute after someone loses sight of the player.

If a player flees the island and leaves the zone and then a player pursues the fleeing player and they also leave the zone, then the two players cannot kill each other.

    18. Players cannot go in and out of a zone for any RP event or the West Burton Military Base Island. You must commit to entering, otherwise do not bait.
    19. You cannot initiate or call an RP Event on a player who has just teleported to you until five minutes has passed since they teleported.
    20. Tasers may only be used after Warning 2 is given in any RP Event, or at least 15 seconds in an initiation. You may use tasers before this if the victim damages you, gets in a vehicle, and/or pulls a weapon.

Police may bypass this rule depending on how the laws are at the time of the RP Event or initiation.

    21. Maximum bail is 5000 BB. Minimum bail is 500 BB.
    22. Please note all of Pandahut's Global Rules apply here. Such as no harassment/racism and more.

  2. RP Vehicles
    1. If you are blocking the road and get run over, it is your fault. Get out of the road.

If the driver hit someone who clearly wasn't blocking the road, that will be KOS.

    2. You cannot randomly destroy vehicles outside of RP Events. Destroying or damaging (within reason) any part of a vehicle (including tires) that does not belong to you is FailRP unless the vehicle is directly involved in an RP Event.
    3. You or anyone in your group can kill anyone who lockpicks your vehicle. The same applies if anyone damages your vehicle, however only if the player(s) continues to actively damage/destroy your vehicles.

If they only shoot once or twice on accident, you cannot kill them.

    4. Vehicles left randomly on/blocking the road can be impounded by police and destroyed by staff members.

  3. Player-Built Structures
    1. You cannot randomly destroy bases outside of Raids or Rescues. Destroying or damaging (within reason) any part of a base (including crops) that does not belong to you is False Raiding.
    2. The max size for a base is 4(width) x 4(length) x 3(height).

RP Admins can give players special build permits to bypass these limits, although they still cannot be exceedingly large.

    3. A base is considered a base as long as it has a claimed bedroll/cot and/or a storage container in and/or on a prefab or on structures.
    4. You can only have one base and one shop. Groups can have one base or one shop.
    5. Floating structures are not allowed. All bases must follow the laws of physics.
    6. Claim flags may be wiped if they are blocking your neighbor from building inside of towns, either map-towns or player-made towns.
    7. You cannot block bridges, roads, towns, etc.
    8. You can only place Neutral Sentries or any Traps inside of a completely closed-off building, not facing a direct exit, and it must be non-accessible to anyone expect group members.

No player should have anyway to get shot by your sentry unless they break parts of your base. Traps are an unturned classification of item. A non-exhaustive list of them includes Landmines, barbed wire, claymores, caltrops, snares.

    9. Do not use an excessive amount of barricades (i.e. metal plates, lights, etc.).
    10. You may not salvage anything in your base when an RP event is called on you or someone in that base (arrests, kidnaps/rescues, raids, etc.).
    11. To prevent your base from being wiped if isn't finished, you must leave a sign stating a sign is under construction.
    12. Bases can be wiped by an Administrator if it appears to be incomplete, oversized, and/or raided.

Admins will place a sign on your base giving you a time frame to fix your base before it is destroyed.

    13. Bases cannot be made out of plates and other barricades.

You cannot use an excessive amount of plates, lights, and plate windows on your base.

  4. Recording / Video Evidence
    1. Some rules allow you to have more freedom and abilities if you are recording, but please keep in mind that:
    2. If you are unable to present the video evidence within a reasonable time, it will be considered your fault, no matter the reason for your inability to show it. You can always appeal and present it then.

Mod discretion may be used in determining a reasonable time and the reason for your failure to give proper evidence.

    3. Valid Video Evidence must be shown in an acceptable form, including Youtube, Metal, Discord, etc. It is not valid if the staff member has to download it from any service or screen share.
    4. To use the Initiations system or any benefits the rules afford you by recording, you MUST do /recording on when you join the server.

Otherwise it will be assumed that you are not recording/did not initiate on people and you may be banned without a mod sit or without being asked for proof. You can always appeal this and show proof later. This should be a good reminder for you to check you are recording as well.

    5. Staff must be able to hear the audio of the recording that will help them in the sit.
Roleplay Rules: Initiations

  1. Basic Rules
    1. If you are recording, you can initiate RP on players to demand them to do something or die.

You can initiate RP on people through chat alone, but then you must follow the RP Event Warning System Rules. For example, you could warn people out of your base, off your property, etc.

    2. The demand must be entirely reasonable and not include bamboo, a house, out of game stuff, leaving a group, etc. Your initiation should benefit you or your group mates or some form of an RP event. You cannot initiate on someone to have them stop doing a basic action and/or do a basic action (basic actions are like running, sitting down, proning, etc) for the sole purpose of stopping or to do the action. If they do not follow the order in a reasonable time (a reasonable time is 1-2 minutes after the order has been given), you can kill them. Your orders must be clearly stated (not a whisper, but in a normal talking voice) or it will be false.

You could rob a shop, tell people to give you back items, get out of a car, etc.

    3. If the situation comes up in a mod sit, you must be able to provide video evidence of the encounter or it will be treated as entirely false.

If the initiator is not online at the time of a sit to provide the video, the staff member will tell the victim to report the initiator on the forums.

    4. If you are not recording and cannot show video evidence of the encounter (see rules on Recording), then you must have your first warning in World Text Chat. You can use /wp to do the warnings for you. The other warnings can be in Voice (as long as the warnings are spoken in a clear, concise way that is at normal talking volume) and/or Area and/or World chat.
    5. Police officers may intervene in the initiation if the request involves criminal activity is happening. Group members may intervene at all times. Civilians may intervene if the request affects the safety of the public and/or property.
    6. Police officers who plan to intervene with an initiation must be wearing at least three articles of police clothing and must be instantly recognizable.
    7. You may only reinitiate on the same player once every 10 minutes, unless a valid reason is given, such as that player picking up loot that was yours, them going on your property after being told to get off, etc.
    8. The executor of an initiation must specify who will be joining that initiation in a clear and concise manner.
Roleplay Rules: RP Events

    1. You must use the warning system to kill the player for not cooperating in the RP Events outlined above.
    2. If you are not recording and cannot show video evidence of the encounter (see rules on Recording), then you must have your first warning in World Text Chat. You can use /wp to do the warnings for you. The other warnings can be in Voice or Chat, as long as the victim can see or hear them.
    3. There should be ten seconds between each warning. After reaching three warnings and waiting ten more seconds, you can kill the player.
    4. You can kill people if they pull a weapon out during the RP Event, but if they already had one when it started, you must warn them to lower it.

The victim switching from safety to semi/full auto does not count as equipping it.

    5. Warnings must include names if the victims are not part of an RP Event.

For example, "Warning 1, John Cena, get out of my base!"

  2. RP Event Specific Rules
    1. Police in any RP Event must wear a minimum of three proper police clothing. They must be instantly recognizable.
    2. For any RP Event with a player as the victim, you must start the event essentially face to face with them. If you lose sight of them for 5 minutes, you must call the event over.
    3. For any RP Event, the executor and their assistors must be active in the RP Event and executing it. If they leave the general area of the event or stop doing it for any reason, they must call over.
    4. Intervening in any RP Event will make you an accomplice and KOSable by anyone in the RP Event.

Intervening counts as actively interrupting the RP Event for the player(s) advantage. For example: Shooting charges placed during a rescue which you are not part of and/or being a getaway driver for someone in an arrest.

    5. Criminals have freedom to order their victim to do things, as long as it is reasonable and only involves items/clothing they have on them and where to move. If they refuse to comply, warn them to comply per the warning system.

You can use the Warning System to make them do as you wish. If they refuse, you may kill them after reaching the point to do so.

    6. Police and Criminals are not required to feed players inside of RP Events.

However, Police not doing so can result in criminal charges against them if the victim pursues it.

    7. If the kidnap ransom is paid, the RP Event must be called off.
    8. For kidnaps, police officers must be within 50 meters of the base that is being used. Kidnappers must be within 35 meters of the base being used. 9. Rescuers may only raid what they must to get an advantage or to the kidnappers and/or the hostage in a kidnap base.

    14. Police may intervene in any RP Events.
    15. You cannot arrest the same player twice for the exact same reason within 15 minutes.
    16. You must wait 3 days before raiding the same base. This also counts for groups! Even if one person in your group raided a base, the entire group CANNOT raid the same base for 3 days!
    17. You cannot use Initations for robberies, raids, or kidnaps. Use their respective commands, /rob, /raid, and /kidnap. The only exception is if someone steals your items or vehicles, then you can use initations to get them back.
    18. Any police who will start a police raid must have evidence of illegals in the base and an outside screenshot of the base that is being raided. Police may only raid what they must to get to the illegal objects or to eliminate a threat to their life. Police may raid any storage container so long as their is a possibility that illegals could be in the storage container.

  3. RP Event Specific Rules - Raids
    1. Raids must have valid descriptions that include the dimensions/size of the base as well as the direction from the closest map landmark.

As a general rule, you should be able to easily find the raid off the description.

    3. Defenders are allowed to come back to defend a base that is getting raided, unless the defender owns the base.
    4. If a prefab has multiple owners, you cannot raid all the bases in a single raid.

For example, you cannot raid two separate owned bases owned by two different players in a prefab apartment.

    5. All player-built bases may be raided in a single raid.
    6. You cannot claim another player's player-built base. You however can claim a prefab if it no longer has a claimed bed, storage containers, and/or structures. Hidden objects such as a hidden bed or storage container does not count as a base.

Objects are counted from being hidden from view if they are but not limited to being inside cabients, fridges, walls, under tables, inside other objects, tucked away in corners. Mod discretion will be used to determine if an object is hidden or not.

    7. Any raider may kill anyone in a 50-meter radius of the base being raided. Police officers must be within 50 meters and wearing at least three articles of police clothing in order to counter the raid. The police officer must be instantly recognizable.
