You should try to implement in game events, not just giveaways but like hide-n-seek or some sort of pvp arena where you can fight for bamboo. This would definitely boost server morale and popularity

This has been something which we do ocasionally but it requires a lot of work to make it happen.
You will have to get a Staff team ready to pure moderate the server and remove griefers and everyone is a volunteer.
People are going on Vacation including staff members or have Finals which make the timing of making a Event in this period very hard to manage.

You have a good suggestion and I will forward it to the Administrators to see if they have a word or two to say about your idea.

You can apply to be a Staff member and ask the Event Hoster if you can help in any sort of way.
