I understand that most "Police" wants this added, however, there might be issues with this.

1. If the arrested person is running while being arrested and didn't see it?
2. How to see if the arrested person moved (x)amount of meters? Will you constantly aim him down with a rangefinder?

Pandahut's RP rules are very good on being specific and clearly stating what is right and wrong. Sadly, situations like this cannot be that basic but will be hugely beneficial to the rp experience. the rule would have to go something like this:

After /arrest is used in chat along with the 1st warning to cooperate has been put out in chat and the suspect is clearly seen fleeing the scene (20 or more meters away from where the player was originaly arrested) the arresting officer(s) ARE ALLOWED to KOS the suspect for evading arrest. The arresting officers MAY NOT KOS the arrested suspect if he/she has not clearly made an an attempt to evade the arrest.

20 meters can be estimated by scoping out the distance between 2 lamp-posts at an intersection.

How would you escape an arrest? Pull out a gun which will take almost 2 seconds for the animation and get pumped full of a military mag?

This will only add on to the all ready ginormous list of things Staff can’t see happening in logs. Situations where staff can’t make a divinitive decisions based off logs are all ready common and mostly rely on the skills of staff members to rule out the situation. Adding this aspect to the arrest won’t be any different.

+1, the existing rules currently allow criminals to kinda make a failrp ish escape. If they go 15 meters past the original area of arrest, they should be considered evading arrest and would grant the police the power to use lethal force against the suspect if needed.

I know people people aren’t a huge fan of this as there is no way for staff to see who was right/wrong if someone feels they were killed unfairly but if there is a basic rule of thumb being kept that if you run you can be shot, most situations will be fair.
not just criminals, cops do this with kidnaps too, its not a criminal only thing. Rp is broken because of the ability to run huge distances before 30 seconds and the warnings are done
